Mongolia has a unique and striking beauty: sweeping steppes, rugged mountains, clear lakes, and an abundance of both wildlife and livestock. Some regions are so remote that you can drive an entire day without seeing any signs of human habitation. The nomadic people who live there endure harsh conditions, yet never cease to amaze with their ability to adapt and thrive almost anywhere. This sense of true wilderness captivated my imagination—and has stayed with me long after my journey ended.
